A letter was read from Mrs Kendall, asking that the Board would appoint her to be the teacher of some school where a teacher may be required. It was stated that the Board could not do this, as it is not their usage to appoint teachers If Mrs. Kendall could find a place where a school is required, and could raise one that was satisfactory to the Inspectors, she would then be eligible for a licence.
